What would you tell your future self?
Write an email to your future self. Choose when it arrives.
Write something before sending it to the future.
Why write to your future self?
You will change. The letter won't.
Set a goal.
Write down what you want done, and check back when it arrives.
"By the time you read this, I hope you've finished the first chapter. If you haven't, write one page tonight."
Keep a memory.
Save the small details before you forget them.
"We ate cold noodles on the balcony tonight, and Maya laughed so hard she cried. I want you to remember how loud she was."
Write through a hard day.
Get it onto paper. Later you'll see how you got through.
"Today was a bad day. I'm writing this so you know it ended, even though at four o'clock it felt like it wouldn't."
Make a prediction.
Guess what will change, then see what came true.
"I think you still live in this city, and you still haven't bought a decent chair. How close did I get?"
Remember what matters.
Name the people and habits you want to keep.
"Whatever else changes, keep calling Dad on Sundays. He won't say it, but he waits for that call."
Leave a kind word.
Tell yourself what you'd tell a friend after a hard week.
"You moved to a new city alone this year and asked for the raise. You were braver than you admit, and I'm proud of you."
Your letter should arrive even after you forget writing it.

Up to three photos, sealed alongside your words.
By the time you open it, the photo will mean more than the thousand words you could have written instead.
I wrote this two years ago, right after a breakup. By the time I read it back, I barely recognized who I was. That is the whole point.
By the time you finish reading this, you already have something to say.
Start with the words. Choose when they return. Sign up only when you are ready to seal the delivery.
